Family Note:   Jacob was captured by Union Army at Cold Knob near Lewisburg, VA (WV) and was sent to the

Union Prison via Wheeling and Camp Case, OH then to Alton Federal Prison

located in Alton, IL. He was captured in November 1862 and was released in 1864 and required

to sign the the Oath to the Union prior to release. He returned to his home in Clay County, WV.
