SALISBURY - George Edward Wilt, 76, of RD 1, Salisbury, died Wednesday in Meyersdale Community Hospital. He had been in ill health for a month. A native of Garrett County, Md., he was a son of the late Stephen and Rhoda (Broadwater) Wilt. He was a member of Salisbury Reformed Church. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Garlitz, Frostburg, and Mrs. Mae Simpkins, Salisbury; two brothers, Clarence Wilt, Grantsville, and Harman Wilt, Swanton; two sisters, Mrs. Sebilla Broadwater, Swanton, and Mrs. Malinda Smith, Dunbar, and seven grandchildren. The body is at the Thomas Funeral Home where services will be conducted tomorrow at 2:30 p. m. by Rev. Paul Wescoat. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. The Cumberland Evening Times, May 16, 1958

Obituar Susan Marie Wilt, 87, of Chestnut Grove Road, Swanton, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Oakland Nursing and Rehab Center, Oakland, MD.
Born November 12, 1925 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Gertrude (Roby) Ray. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon M. Wilt, two son-in-laws, Phillip Tichnell and Rob Nazelrod, and thirteen brothers and sisters. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
Mrs. Wilt was a homemaker.
She leaves behind a son, Milton Wilt and wife Jean of Swanton, five daughters, Linda Bowman and husband Ted of Oakland, Phyllis Tichnell of Chestnut Grove, Ellen Jane Harsh and husband Vernon of Eglon, WV, Jenny Nazelrod of Chestnut Grove, and Shirley Tichnell and husband Chris of Chestnut Grove. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren, including a special grandson, Joey Thomas.
As per Mrs. Wilt’s wishes, she was cremated.
There will be no visitation or services
Inturnment will be at Murphy Cemetery, Dry Run, at a later date.
