LaVale, MD – Paul K. Rounds, 85, of LaVale, MD, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born May 5, 1934, in Swanton, MD, Mr. Rounds was the son of the late Salem Edgar Rounds and Stella Mae (Wilt) Rounds. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Wilma, Albert, Orval, Charles, Gerald, Nellie, Bessie, William, Ellis, Harvey, Harold, and Pauline; and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Paul had many friends at Friend’s Aware and was fascinated with trains. He was always very appreciative for all the staff. Paul is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Friday, June 21, 2019, from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

OAKLAND — Roy “Music Man” Bittinger Jr., 71, Oakland, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Born on Nov. 30, 1946, in Mill Run, he was a son of the late Roy Sr. and Mary (Starky) Bittinger.
He was a member of the Rocky Drean Assembly of God. The Music Man had a deep love of music and could play any number of instruments. In his earlier days, he played old time country music in a great many local clubs. In later years, he enjoyed playing gospel music in churches. He will be remembered as a gentleman who never met a stranger, and one of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Tara; three sons, Roy Bittinger III and wife Christy, Shawn Bittinger and Tyler Boyce and wife Samantha, West Virginia; two daughters, Becky Brantner Lyons and husband Mark and Debbie McKone; grandchildren, Danielle and Brandon Bittinger; as well as a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ronnie, Gary and Mike Bittinger; eight sisters, Bonnie Mitchell, Katie Durner, Barb Paugh, Anna Mayhew, Polly Bittinger, Betty Bonney, Linda Tournay and Darlene Bittinger; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond “Shorty” Bittinger.
Friends will be received at the C&S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, on Monday, Aug. 27, from 4 to 8 p.m., and at the Crellin Assembly of God on Tuesday, Aug. 28, after which time a funeral service will be held, with Pastor William Skipper officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashby Cemetery.
