Donley L. Stiles, 89 of the Madison House in Morgantown, formerly of Wadestown and Hundred, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 1989 at Monongalia General Hosptial. Born near Hundred on March 31, 1899, he was a son of the late John N. and Lydia Ann White Stiles. He was a retired school teacher, having taught in Monongalia County for 41 years. He was a member of the Hundred United Methodist Church, the IOOF Wadestown Lodge and the Woodmen of the World Lodge. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Vassolo of Woodbury, NJ , Mrs. Josephine Rugh of Wilmington, NC, Mrs. Barbara Myers of Fairmont, four sons, Clark of Parkersburg, John of Tallahassee, Florida, James of Wellsburg, Darwin of Jacksonville, Florida, and two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Tennant of Brave, Pa, Mrs. Rebecca Atkinson of El Passo, Texas, one brother, Paul of Morgantown, 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Tennant Stiles in 1963, his second wife, Ruth Billingslea, in 1986, one sister, Mrs. Ada Lemley and four brothers, Alex, Milton, Thomas and Harry. Friends may call at the Hunt Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday. Funeral Services will begin at 1 P.M. Saturday, February 18, in the funeral home. Reve. Meredith Ball will officiate. Interment will follow at Wadestown Cemetery.
