Obituary:
Jenny L. Wilt, 40, of Farmland, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at her home. She was born on February 17, 1978, in Muncie, to Jim Patty and Teresa (Gibbs) Hartsock.
Jenny graduated from Monroe Central High School. She attended the East Street Congregational Christian Church in Winchester. Jenny was a homemaker and worked at Orscheln’s in Winchester. She enjoyed fishing, watching movies, and tending to her flowerbeds and gardening. Jenny had a terrific sense of humor. She loved everyone she met and every animal. Jenny, most of all, loved spending time with her boys.
Jenny is survived by her husband, Jason Wilt of Farmland; two sons, Ashten and Cayden Wilt; her father, Jim Patty of Marion; her mother, Teresa (Don) Hartsock of Farmland; two sisters, Lindsey (Julie) Patty of Michigan City, IN, and Shannon (Tony) Alford of Muncie; her half-sister, Cassie Wills; two step brothers, Shane (Christina) Hartsock and Shawn Hartsock; and her maternal grandparents, Peggy and Allen Gibbs; and uncle, Mark Gibbs.
A service to celebrate Jenny’s life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the East Street Congregational Christian Church, with Pastor Rob Butler officiating.
Friends and family may call an hour before services on Saturday at the church.

Coal Miner's Death Ruled as Accident.
The death of Leo Wilt 34, of Lonaconing, who was crushed yesterday in a fail of rock in a coal mine near Barton has been ruled accidental by officials of the Maryland Bureau of Mines.
The accident was investigated by Frank Powers, chief of the Maryland Bureau of Mines, James H. Close, district mine inspector, and Harry Jones, inspector for the Federal Bureau of Mines.
Powers said a large chunk of draw rock fell on the victim when three or four mine props were dislodged int eh mine operation. The victim was reported to have had about 10 years of mining experience.
The victim and a cousin Floyd Wilt, 38, also of Lonaconing, were working near a conveyor when about a ton of draw rock fell from the roof in the room off the main heading of the mine.
The large section of rock, measuring about six feet long, two feet wide and eight inches thick fell on the victim who had been kneeling on the mine floor and loading coal on the conveyor. Floyd Wilt had moved back from the spot where the foof fell shortly before the accident occurred.
Born at Grantsville, Wilt was a son of Truman and Cleone (Frazenbaker) Wilt Baltimore.
Surviving, besides his parents, are his widow, Mrs. Alda (Mety) Wilt three children, Cleone, Leo Jr. and Charles Wilt, all at home; two brothers, Glenn, Burgettstown, PA., and Bernard Wilt Barton, and a sister, Mrs. Johnson Devore, Burgettstown.
The body is at the Eichhorn Funeral Home, Lonaconing.
