Born May 1, 1912, in Mineral County, he was a son of the late Tiburtis and Bertha (Heatwole) Wilt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Catherine Wilt, in October 1988; one son, Roger Paul Wilt; one daughter, Anna Catherine Wilt; two brothers; and three sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Arville Price Wilt, Horner, and Robert Dale Wilt, Lost Creek; one daughter, Violet Lee Stewart, Broadway, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 19, 1999, at the Fraley Funeral Home, Moorefield, with the Rev. Carl Stewart, the Rev. Laurean R. Smith and the Rev. Ted Osgood officiating.
Burial was at the Olivet Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Fraley Funeral Home, Moorefield.
