Individual Note:
     Ray S. Watts, 80, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, July 29, 2012. Born November 24, 1931 at home in Shinnston, WV to the late Ray Watts and Kathryn Radford Watts Morgan.


Preceded in death by brother, Radford “Bud” Watts and cousin, Mary Jo Hawkins.



He is survived by his wife, Becky; children, Rhonda (Robert) Walker, Jeffery (Connie), Charles and Robert (Sherri) Watts; step-children, Gregory, Andrew (Julie) and Amy Gbur; 11 grandchildren, Stacy, David and Matthew Walker, Joshua and Jacob Watts, Hope (Heath) Montag, Zachary, Benjamin and Claire Gbur and Tyler and Molly Furlong; two great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Laila Montag.


Ray retired from the USAF in 1974 after serving over 20 years as a M/Sgt. serving in Korea and Vietnam as well as other military conflicts. He served as a tail gunner on B-29’s and boom operator on KC 97’s and KC 135’s. He ended his career as an air evaluator and instructor at Rickenbacker AFB and retired from Lazarus-Westland in 1992.


Ray loved to fish and reminisce about California, Alaska and Tennessee. He especially loved the Buckeyes when they “showed up.”



Visitation Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 12pm until the time of Funeral Service at 3 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
