Per WWII researcher, Teunis Schuurman in The Netherlands, Lowell died in the crash of B-24H-15-FO Liberator - #42-52597 - "U8-W" - "LADY LIGHTNING" - MACR #8428 during the war.
Lowell was originally buried 17 Aug 1944 - Havelte Cemetery - Row 15 - Grave 14 (Netherland) and later moved and permenantly buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairmont WV USA by the family
