SHINNSTON — Patricia Lopez, 83, of Shinnston, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015,
at the home of her daughter in Bridgeport, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 1, 1932, in Wyatt, a daughter of the late Beulah Galmish O’Dell and Bernard O’Dell.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Lisa Reese and husband John of Bridgeport; three grandsons,
John Paul Reese, Joseph Wayne Reese and David Lucas Lopez; her sister, Mary Jo “Peggy” Mercer of
Shinnston; half brother, Bernard O’Dell, Jr. and wife Barbara of Cunningham Run; her special niece,
Alexis Barnes of Shinnston; and a special nephew, Frank Lopez of Bridgeport; as well as several
other nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Lopez, and her son, David Lee Lopez.
Patricia served several terms on the Shinnston City Council. She was also a member of
St. Ann Catholic Church in Shinnston.
Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home in Shinnston on Monday, April 6, 2015, from 2-8 p.m.
The Holy Rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Thomas Dagle as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery
