OBITUARY:


FRANCES LORRAINE JONES


Mar. 3, 1921 - Apr. 28, 2015


Frances Lorraine Jones, 94, of Fairmont, passed from


this life Tuesday, (April 28, 2015) at the Fairmont


Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She was


born in Wana on March 3, 1921 the oldest daughter of


the late Francis Marion and Ada Olive Jackson Stiles.


Lorraine was a member of the Highland Avenue


United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and


had formerly worked at Westinghouse. After


becoming bedfast in 2002, she turned to reading to


occupy her time. She read her Bible daily and found


enjoyment in reading anything by Jeanette Oakes.


During the summer of 2010 Lorraine was encouraged


to start painting. It began with the desire to paint


something for each of her children and grandchildren


for Christmas and grew into a pastime that she greatly


looked forward to. In addition to painting Lorraine


enjoyed needlework and completed numerous


embroidery projects over the years to give as gifts to


family and friends. She enjoyed talking about cooking


and sharing recipes and being a confidant to her


many care givers. She will be missed by many, many


people whose lives she touched.


Ms. Jones is survived by her three children; Harold


(Lois) Stiles and Doris (Tim) James of Fairmont and


Janet Campbell of Albion, Indiana; her sister Norma


Chapman of Morgantown; five grandchildren Sandra


Thomas, Chuck (Kelli) Deem of Fairmont, Eric Stiles


of Florida, Beverly (Rex) Cole of Albion, IN and


Timmy (Chassidy) James of Fairmont; seven

great-grandchildren, Miranda Thomas and fiancé


Cameron Childres, Raven Thomas both of Fairmont,


Desiree King of Albion, Hunter and Owen James both


of Fairmont, Kayden Cole of Indiana and Morgan


Deem of Fairmont; also several cousins, nieces and


nephews as well as her John Manchin family.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death


by her loving husband Charles Harold Jones on Jan.


18, 1996 and one granddaughter Melissa Campbell.


Friends may call at the Frey Home For Funerals


(Addition Chapel A), 320 Madison St., Fairmont


Thursday from 12 - 7 pm and Friday from 11 am till 1


pm. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral


home Friday at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jonathon Smith


officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview


Memorial Gardens.
