WILT, Mrs. Alice Broadwater
Westernport - Mrs. Alice Wilt, 64, Kolberg Hill, was dead on arrival
at Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser Thursday. A native of Garrett County,
she was the widow of Zedick Wilt and a daughter of the late Mortimer and
Ida (Bittinger) Broadwater. She was a former emmployee of the
Amcelle plant of Celanese Fibers Company and the silk mill at Lonaconing.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church here. Survivors
include four sons, Gary Wilt, at home; Wilbur Wilt, Marshall Wilt and
Ronald Wilt, all of here; six daughters, Mrs.Loretta Ryan, Flintstone;
Mrs. Lois Clark, Mrs. Dolores Hamilton, and Mrs. Phyllis Buskirk, all
of here; Mrs. Patricia Shillingburg and Mrs. Shirley Baker, both of
Cross, W. Va.; two borthers, Charles Broadwater, Frostburg and Elbert
Broadwater, Swanton; five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Green, Alexandria, Va.;
Mrs. Laura Smith, Miss Frances Broadwater and Mrs. Bessie Weir, all of
Lonaconing; and Mrs. Christine Smith, Syeksville[sic], Md.;
33 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at
the Boal Funeral Home here today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church wiht
Rev. Dana Spence officiating. Interment will be in Philos Cemetery.

OAKLAND - Vernon Thomas Broadwater, 61, died yesterday afternoon in Garrett
County Memorial Hospital where he was a patient 27 days. Before his retirement,
Mr. Broadwater was 'an employe ol the Town of Oakland. A native of Bond, he was a
son of the late Mortimer and Mary (Wilt) Broadwater. He is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Ruba (Hare) Broadwater; two sons, Marshall Broadwater, at home, and Thomas
Broadwater, Wyandotte, Mich., two daughters, Miss Katherine Broadwater, at home
and Mrs. Carolyn Braithwaite, at home; a half-brother, Zedick Wilt, Westernport,
and a grandchild. The body is at the Minnich Funeral Home where friends will be
received today from 7 to 9 p. m. nd tomorrow from 2 to 4 p. m. nd 7 to 9 p. m.
A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 2 m. in charge of
Rev. Donald latthews, pastor of the Pine Church of the Brethren.
