OCALA, Fla. — John C. Sirk, beloved husband of Jeannie and father of Michael W. Sirk, lost a four-year battle with cancer March 7, 2008.
He was born in Clarksburg, WV, Aug. 27, 1942, and moved to Florida in 1989, where he was a social worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.R. and Blanch Sirk of Clarksburg and a brother, Lewis of Florida.
He is survived by wife, Jeannie, of Ocala, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Erin, Wildwood, Florida; three sisters, Edith Ross, Imogene Duncan and Joan Wilt; and two brothers, Kennie and Eugene Sirk.
Mr. Sirk graduated in 1960 from Victory High School, attended Fairmont State and WVU where he received a master’s degree in social work.
John will be remembered for his love of music and was a professional musician most of his life.
