Walter Russell 'Walt' McIntire


SHINNSTON — Walter Russell “Walt” McIntire, 81, of Little Bingamon Community, passed away on February 6, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital following open heart surgery.
He was born January 12, 1938, in Little Bingamon, a son of the late Dallas and Olive Virginia Horner McIntire.
Walt is survived by his loving wife, Betty Allen McIntire. The two would have celebrated 62 years of marriage this March. He is also survived by his son, Thomas Edward McIntire, whom he loved very much; and Kimmie, his Maltese. Also surviving are his sister, Marjorie Keith of Little Bingamon; as well as several nieces and nephews.



In addition to his parents, Walt was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Stefanek and Shirley Tennant; as well as his brother, James McIntire.
Walt was the owner of Walt’s Inc. in Shinnston for 55 years. Betty would like to extend a special thanks to all of his loyal customers over the years. He always tried to do his best to take care of his customers. He was a wonderful husband and father and he will be greatly missed by his family, customers, and employees.
The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Friday from 1-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Chad Weaver and Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.

Obituary
Edward Ivan McIntire
SHINNSTON — Edward Ivan McIntire, 74, of Enterprise, passed away at his residence on Sunday, July 30, 2006.
He was born on May 3, 1932, in Bingamon, WV, a son of the late Hartis Dallas McIntire and Lora Grace O’Dell McIntire.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred A. McIntire, and they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 15, 2006.
He is also survived by one son, Robert E. McIntire of Enterprise; one daughter, Brenda K. Sciulli and her husband Chuck of Georgetown, PA; three grandchildren, Heather Kardaseski and her husband, John, of Hookstown, PA, Eddie Sciulli and his wife, Jessica, of Bellevue, PA, and Lora Sciulli of Moon Township, PA; two great-grandchildren, Courtney Sciulli and Alec Kardaseski; one sister, Janice L. Wolford and her husband Robert of Fairmont, and one brother, Hartis Gene McIntire and his wife Shelby of Worthington. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, three stepgreat-grandchildren and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Fortney and Anita Kuhens, and two brothers, Junior McIntire and Edgar McIntire.
Mr. McIntire was a member of the Mason’s Masonic Lodge in Alabama and the Kaaba Shrine Lodge 32 in Iowa.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.
He was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Long Run EUB Church.
Friends will be received at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike Street, Shinnston, WV, from 3 p.m. to close on Wednesday, August 2, 2006. Funeral services will be held at the Dorsey Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2006. Pastor Darren Powell and Rev. Brian Plum will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Enterprise I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
