DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio - Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say one man is dead and two others are hurt due to a crash Sunday morning in Delaware County.
Investigators said a 2008 Ford pickup was driving northbound on North Galena Road when it drove off the road and flipped around 1:30 a.m.
Nelson J. Gemondo, 47, of Enterprise, West Virginia died at the scene. Two other occupants were seriously injured.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.


A 47-year-old man is dead and two others suffered serious injuries after a fatal rollover crash involving a pickup truck early Sunday morning in Delaware County.
Nelson J. Gemondo The crash occurred on North Galena Road in Berkshire Twp. just after 1:30 a.m. when a Ford Super Duty truck driven northbound on North Galena Road drove off the right side of the roadway and overturned, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Nelson J. Gemondo, who one of three people in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Delaware County Coroner’s Office.
Gemondo was not wearing his seatbelt, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
James J. Chaney, 46, of Cardington, was taken to Grant Medical Center for serious, life-threatening injuries, officials said. James E. Jordan, 43, of Ashley, was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital, for serious injuries, officials said.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Delaware County Coroner’s Office, Delaware County EMS, and BST&G Fire and Rescue.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds motorists to designate a sober driver and to wear a seat belt.

Obituary:
PAGE GERALDINE T. PAGE (Gorski), 73, died peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2015, at her Cuyahoga Falls home with her husband, Louis and daughters by her side. Geraldine was born May 16, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio. She retired in 1996 as a nurse after working with Akron General Medical Center, Aultman Hospital, Visiting Nurse Service, and Hattie Larlham. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, the Red Hat Society, Garden Club, and Book Club. Geraldine enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Geraldine was a caring and loving wife of 51 years to her husband Louis and a life saver through good and bad times. She joins her mother Helen Viola (Woznicki) Gorski and son, David Louis Page. Geraldine is survived by her loving husband, Louis John Page, her children; Deborah McElwee, Deanna (Craig) Postlethwaite, Denise Page and Lori (Matt) Riley, grandchildren; Kaila Postlethwaite, Christina McElwee, Craig "CJ" Postlethwaite, Brandon McElwee, Brodie, Olivia and River Riley; sisters, Helen Finn of Columbus and Shirley Stiles of Cleveland. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls with Father Jim Singler officiating. ARTHUR ROUNDS
August 19, 1940 - July 03, 2016
Arthur Columbus Rounds Jr., 75, of Grantsville, died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born Aug. 19, 1940, in Jennings, he was the son of the late Arthur and Rosella (Broadwater) Rounds Sr. He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Rodney Rounds Jr. and Beverly Holliday; and son-in-law, Carlon Doerr.
Mr. Rounds was a bricklayer for Local 6, Bricklayers Allied Craftsmen Union; He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, and enjoyed farming and tending to his animals.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lois Jean (Hutzel) Rounds; two sons, Rodney (Heidi) Rounds and Courtney Rounds, all of Grantsville; two daughters, Marilyn (Gary) Holliday, Grantsville, Robin Doerr, Accident; four brothers, Wilmer (Janet) Rounds, Dale (Maude) Rounds, Robert (Una) Rounds, all of Grantsville; Cecil (Karen) Rounds, Swanton; four sisters, Loretta (Ken) Hummel, Dolores (Harold) McKenzie, Donna Edwards, all of Frostburg, Judy (Lanny) Savage, Thurmont; seven grandchildren, Michael and Dewayne Holliday, Lindsey and John Doerr, Lane Rounds, Jessi Davis, Casey Rounds; five great-grandchildren, Abigail and Brent Doerr, Brielle and Roland Holliday and Riley Doerr.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller Street, Grantsville, on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Don Hinkle officiating.
Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.
