Obituary Bernard Lynn Davis
ESTON — Bernard Lynn Davis, 77, of Weston, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019, in Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown, following a sudden illness. He was born in Weston on September 3, 1941: son of the late Ancil Davis and Zina (Buukhammer) Davis. On November 13, 1965, he married Barbara (Woofter) who survives.
Bernard is also survived by four children: David (Willa) Davis of Clarksburg, William (Beth) Davis, Sharon Bennett and Bobbie Holden all of Weston, 10 grandchildren: Mya, Chloe and Teddy Davis, Amanda Nolan, Samantha Davis, Tristan and Brenna Lambert, Zachary Bennett, and Ben and Kenny Holden and 5 great grandchildren: Wyatt and Lily Nolan, Olivia Bennett, Kinsley Davis and Laci McClain. He is also survived by three brothers: Jennings Davis of Jane Lew, Ronnie Davis of Weston and Bob Davis of North Carolina, three sisters: Marty Queen of Weston, Rita Turner of Jane Lew and Mary Lee Rose of Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bernard was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenny and Charles Davis and two sisters: Charlotte Cool and Carolyn Wilson.



Mr. Davis was a retired health service worker with Weston State Hospital and then William A. Sharpe Hospital. He was a graduate of Weston High School. Bernard was a veteran of the United States Army and the West Virginia Army National Guards of Weston. Bernard’s favorite pasttime was tinkering in his garage.
Family and friends were received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue, Weston on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services were held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Bill Hunt officiating. Interment followed services in the Weston Masonic Cemetery. Full Military Honors were conducted by the United States Army and the Lewis County Honor Guard.
