Stepchild of Elisha Jenkins. Thomas died by drowning in rafting accident on Little Kanawaha
River in Wood County, WV.
At the request of Thomas Wilt the following deed of (testament) was recorded Oct 14, 1856 in Alleghany (Garrett) County, Maryland
This Deed made this twenty sixth day of September in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty six by John M. Fazenlaker and Catherine his wife, David Wilt and Mary his wife, William W. Broadwater and Hester his wife, Eliza Jenkins and Rebecca Jenkins.
Witnessed
That whereas Elisha Jenkins, late of Allegany County in the State of Maryland died intestate leaving seven children who are his (distenlatees) and heirs at law and of whom the said Catherine Fazanlaker, Mary Wilt, Hester Broadwater, Eliza Jenkins, and Rebecca Jenkins are five and as such are therefore each entitled to the one undivided seventh part of the real and personal estate of their late father and whereas the afornamed parties in consideration of the natural love and affection the (head) to their half brother, Thomas Wilt and forever other good causes and considerations those there unto (???) are willing to convey and affirm unto the said Thomas Wilt so much of the afore said real and personal estate as will render unto the said Thomas Wilt an equal heir and distribute with themselves in the same know therefore the said John M. Fazenlaker and Catherine his wife, David Wilt and Mary his wife, William W. Broadwater and Hester his wife, Eliza Jenkins and Rebecca Jenkins in of the promises and of the sum of five dollars to them in hand paid do hereby bargain and sell and affirm unto the said Thomas in the real and personal shares in the real and personal estate which the said Elisha Jenkins died seized and professed as will render and give him the said Thomas Wilt and equal share and part with them in the same: it being the meaning and intention of the present and of the parties here to place the said Thomas Wilt upon the same and equal footing with the parties executing this deed as respects the ownership and distribution of the said real and personal estate, so that their respective interest in and title to the same shall equal and alike to have and to hold the same unto him the said Thomas Wilt, his heirs, executor administers and assigned former.

At the request of Henry Miller and Wm Shaw this deed was recorded Sept 25th 1858.
This Deed made this fourth day of September in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty eight by Thomas Wilt and Mary Wilt his wife of Gilmer County in the State of Virginia. Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars they the said Thomas Wilt and Mary wilt his wife doth grant convey and assign unto Henry Miller and William Shaw of Allegheny County in the State of Maryland, as tenants in common all their right title in interest and claim whatsoever which they are or may hereafter be in any way entitled often and to all the real and person of estate of the late Elisha Jenkins, late of Allegheny county died intestate be the lands and realistate known by whatsoever name thy maybe all of which said real and personal estate was convergent to the said Thomas Wilt by deed of conveyance bearing date the 26th day of September eighteen hundred and fifty six and recorded amounts the Same Period of Allegheny County Md. Join John M. Frazenbaker and Catherine his wife, David Wilt, and Mary his wife, William W. Broadwater and Hester his wife Eliza Jenkins And Rebecca Jenkins as reference being had to said deed will more Fully appear as in expressed therein Do have and to hold the same unto them the said Henry Miller and William Shaw, their heirs executors and administrators and assigns for ever, Witness our hands and seals
