Martin Luther Wilt Obituary

Martin Luther Wilt was born in Preston County, West Virginia, March 9, 1847. In the year 1871, bidding good bye to home and friends he left the scenes of his boyhood home among the sunny hills of Virginia and came to Michigan, where he made for himself a home.

In the year 1873 he was married to Sarah Priscillia Harsh, whose girlhood was also spent among the Virginia hills, but who with her parents, in 1864, had sought Michigan as their future home

Of the union of Luther Wilt and Sarah harsh there were six children born to them, three boys and three girls

the husband and father of this family was an industrious and successful worker, always looking out that those who are now bereft of his loving care should be made comfortable and happy in the home.

Faithful and true in his home life a record we might all wish to have a good neighbor, a true friend, an indulgent father =, a loving husband During his prolonged sickness he wished that his loved ones might be at his bedside the he might have their companionship to the end And all that loving hands could do was done for the comfort of husband and father. After a prolonged sickness of many months, in the early morning hours of Friday, June 5, 1993, at nearly 2 o'clock, his tired body was released from pain and sickness, at the age of 56 years, 2 month and 26 days.

He leaves a wife, six children, two grandchildren, brothers, sisters and friends who will miss him. Relatives, friends and acquaintances all join in extending to the bereaved ones their heartfelt sympathy.
