WESTERNPORT - Benjamin Harrison Wilt, 69, of here, died this morning in the Baker VA Center at Martinsburg where he had been a patient since May 19. A native of Bond, Md., he was a son of the late James and Frances (Foutz) Wilt. He had resided in Westernport 44 years. Mr. Wilt retired four years ago from the Luke plant of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company after 37 years service. He was a member of Piedmont Pentecostal Holiness Church; Blackhawk Tribe 131, Improved Order of Red Men; Kelly-Mansfield Post 52, American Legion of Piedmont and was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Violet V. (Youst) Wilt; a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Dawson, Westernport; three sons, Charles Wilt, Baltimore; Benjamin E. Wilt, Rochester, N. Y.; Calvin A. Wilt, Westernport; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Reitz, Westernport; five brothers, Raleigh and William Wilt, both of Cumberland; Walter Wilt, Baltimore; Jacob L. Wilt, Westernport; and Cleveland Wilt, address unknown; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Boal Funeral Home here after tomorrow. Services will be conducted on Friday at 2 p. m. in Piedmont Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Rex R. Coffman, pastor. Interment will be in Philos Cemetery here.

Mr. Wilt was born in Bond, a son of the late James A. and Sarah F. (Foutz) Wilt. He moved to Baltimore two years ago. He was a former employe of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Plant at Luke and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Wilt was a member of the Black Hawk Tribe No. 131, Improved Order of Red Men, Westernport, and Kelly-Mansfield Post, Post 52 American Legion, also of here.
